How we got here

Three stories under one roof.

Welcome to the third chapter of Threestory Studio: bringing together branding, communication design, information design, data visualization, and marketing leadership to impact meaningful experiences in physical environments.

Three phases of Threestory Studio

Our story.

Threestory Studio began in 1999 with branding and communications design, working extensively in print and digital media to build brands and tell compelling stories. The second chapter focused our efforts on information design and data visualization, bringing clarity to complex concepts, processes, or datasets.

Our current chapter gathers those capabilities under one roof as we bring narrative spaces to life, telling the stories that those spaces can uniquely tell.

Erik Jacobsen

Erik Jacobsen

Erik serves as the point person and creative director for all projects. He has directed creative work for more than two decades, including brand identity systems, communication campaigns, editorial design, data visualization, and senior marketing leadership for a luxury real estate brand.

Alongside that professional work, he has worked to design experiences in lived environments: a major home remodel, office usage and flow studies informing significant remodels, and designing and leading visitor experiences for summer programs in the Teton Valley. He is also a published poet, photographer, artist, musician, non-profit school leader, and father — all of which inform his storytelling
